The findings suggest that holidaymakers are choosing affordable destinations, opting to stay close to home. Australian cities – Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast, Brisbane and Perth – have claimed five of the ten places on the list, while London is the most popular overseas destination, followed closely by Singapore and New York City.
