Our guest blogger, Nicole Connolly of Suitcase Stories, shares her recent experience at the Conrad Tokyo.
There are thousands of things to do in Tokyo and it”s definitely hard to choose only a handful of things to explore when visiting. As is the case with most large metropolitan areas, there are enough museums, shopping areas, spas, restaurants, and so on to keep guests entertained for months. Therefore, it would seem that the biggest question when visiting Japan”s capital city is not so much what to do, but where to find a quiet and comfortable hotel to sleep.
Conrad Tokyo is an excellent place to stay while in this world-class city. The hotel rooms begin on the 28th floor, which means that every room has a great view. Suites offer either a city view or views over Tokyo Bay, depending on which side of the building guests are housed. The bayside is especially stunning at night and is more commonly recommended by those who have been here, though both sides are pretty spectacular. In the end, it all comes down to a matter of personal preference.
The rooms at the Conrad Tokyo are nice and spacious.
The rooms are very spacious, the mattresses are comfortable and the soft feather pillows are a treat. There is a shade and light control panel next to the beds, so guests don’t have to get up in order to adjust the blinds. Darkness can be set to pitch-black levels and no sound can be heard from any adjoining rooms, so those staying at this hotel will certainly get a good night’s sleep. Turndown amenities may include a stuffed bear on the bed – a sweet touch.
The bathrooms at the Conrad Tokyo are a treat for the senses. Many have a glass wall which, when not covered by wooden blinds, allows guests to bathe with great city views. Each room has a superb selection of bath products and overall, the amenities are excellent. Shaving cream, razors, slippers and robes are all provided for guests.
