They all look fabulous , wouldn’t mind staying at any of them ! Pam

  2. Jakomi says:

They do look exceptional – all of them! will definitely be entering. Fingers crossed!

  3. Speedy says:

These are very good hotels but not icons. Why resort to this meaningless over-used word? The hotels deserve better.

    • Hi there, thanks for your feedback. All of the hotels mentioned above were selected because they have a unique feature, location or history – a certain something that makes them quintessentially “Australian.” From our view, within the Australian hospitality industry,we felt it was fair to refer to them as icons.

      • Speedy says:

That’s what you should have told us – “a unique feature, location or history – a certain something that makes them quintessentially “Australian.”

What a superb description, wonderful use of the English language, and no resorting to jargon, i.e. ‘icon’ which means nothing in any industry, or for places, events, or people.

        • Sorry you feel that way Speedy, and apologies if we didn’t make our use of the term clearer.

In any case, hope you enter the giveaway – the first prize (a stay at the Palazzo Versace) just went live a few minutes ago! Good luck!

    would be just beautiful
